Love this little munchkin. Seems like I just shot her newborn pictures. Wow time goes by so fast!
I’m still about 100 people behind on blogging but I’m trying to get a few here and there:)

Are you dying over this dress she brought?

I got some of them on etsy and some through trendytots in the riverwoods.

 ( Feb 8th, 2011 4:02 am)

Would you be willing to share where you got all these adorable headbands?

 ( Feb 5th, 2011 7:56 pm)
Cortnie Bigelow

I’m dying over her brown eyes!!! I completely covet brown eyes being a blue-eyed chica and coming from a blue-eyed only family AND only “making” blue-eyed babies!! GORGEOUS!! I have to agree the dress is to die for and HELLO your pictures are stunning!!! Katie, you are an amazing photographer!!! :)

 ( Feb 5th, 2011 12:08 am)

Gorgeous photos. I absolutely cannot show my daughter anymore the photos in your blog, as at the age of five she always goes: “I love that, look at that hairband, mummy I need that dress etc.” Not to mention that accoring to her she definitely needs a doll house like in your xmas photos. Your photos are too “yummy”! I love those clothes too.

So I never photograph babies older than 3 weeks, unless they have been in the NICU, since they are so hard to get good sleepy pictures. Well this little gal had to be in the NICU for quite a bit, so she was a little older than I normally shoot. She was a little tricky to get to sleep, but it was so worth it. Isn’t she the cutest little thing EVER!

Sara I got it on etsy.

a lazy christmas

This has been one of the best Christmas breaks ever. No shoots for a week! My house is actually clean, and have been able to spend some good quality time with the kiddos. Ginger bread houses, lots and lots of treats, skiing, parties, sleepovers and naps! Hope everyone had a great Christmas as well.

we got the cutest santa ever to come to our Christmas parties.

The kids made these adorable wreaths.

We always make the kids run through wrapping paper to get to their presents.

got these fun American girl doll organizers from ebay. Changed the pink knobs out with anthropologie knobs that the kids picked out.

Dan and I stayed up until 4:00am turning this barbie doll house into an American girl doll house. It turned out so cute! You can get a similar doll house on costco.com still. Just took the middle walls out and made our own. Used scrap wallpaper. Then made it a little taller. The girls love it!

sleep overs with their cousin. (not much sleep)

more cute persnickety clothes.

Hi, I was wondering if you could post more info about the doll house you made? It looks like the kidkraft so chic doll house but yours is do much wider, did you completely change the floors to cover the stairwell? Thanks!

 ( Jan 11th, 2011 2:40 am)

Hi Jessica- He just took the corner pieces out and made it taller. We also took out the middle and made those taller. We used 20×20 wallpaper samples.
Hope this helps a little.

Your photo’s are so amazing. I have been looking for a while now and this is my first comment.

My daughter saw your girls American Girl house and said, “I want that!” I would love to know how you modified your house to make it work for American Girls. My husband is thinking he may try and do something similar for her birthday :)

Hi Taryn- My friend Lu showed me how to make them. But she found the link on this blog: http://calebdanielle.blogspot.com/2010/10/diy-yarn-wreath-with-felt-flowers.html
I had to do the flowers for the kids of course, but they wrapped it all by themselves and loved it.

LOVE LOVE your work!!! Truly inspiring! I would love to get some more information on the workshop. I was also wondering how advanced of a photographer one needed to be to take the workshop. I have a good digital camera, I love taking pictures. I am very creative but I am not (as of yet) a professional photographer. Thanks so much!!! (p.s. I’m a Moss too so we might be related! :) ) jstmekathy@yahoo.com

Merry Chritsmas

I barely got my cards out this year! It has been a crazy month. I swear if I wasn’t a photographer I wouldn’t even do cards!
I wanted to do a whimsical themed shoot with my girls. (poor Dan) I might as well with all girls right!?!
And thanks to Joy making these fabulous head pieces for my girls. I know she will be taking custom orders for these.

prodigitalphotos printed these awesome sliders for us.

Hi Denise- I designed them and had them printed at prodigitalphotos.

 ( Feb 12th, 2011 4:59 am)
